Today the account was officially above last year's overall performance. So I have achieved my personal goal of performing better this year, woohoo! Unfortunately, the competition is much more intense this year with 10th place being up 50% last Friday, so I might not make another $10k. Theres still a week left though and perhaps there will be some disqualifications again this year. Wish me luck.

Outstanding results. I will say again, you should be putting some real money at work here.
The Hypotenuse Fund
Nice work. And I also updated the chart this week.I am too busy to do that. But from the existing chart, we can conclude that top performers are almost use risky method which cannot be used in real life except Gary Lei. I am also interested in what your method is. Maybe you can share with that after the competition so I can learn from. Share with my score: I am up 17% at the end of week seven. Cheers.
Just find out about this blog. Nice job and thanks for sharing.
Tony, I agree with you that the competition favors high risk strategy. With stock only strategy and ~1% dropdown I am happy I can end with around 20% profit with my stock only ATS, plus I started one week late.
Indigo, thanks. I like the ring of the "Hypotenuse Fund" better than "Right Angle Fund." Btb also thinks its appropriate.
Tony, thanks for updating the IB history. It occurred to me that that information would otherwise be lost. Maybe next year we can coordinate our efforts and I will post your chart here. I agree with your conclusion about conservative versus risky strategies. Clearly, most of the top competitors with the exception of Gary Lei had a quick pop up to the top and didn't move after that. I would really like to know what Gary Lei is up to.
Moments, thanks.
To both Tony and Moments, congrats on the great returns in a tough market. Will you guys be competing next year?
